ECE Projektmanagement is operating approximately 200 shopping centres around the world. For more than 50 years, ECE has developed solutions for inner city shopping centres and has become European market leader in that field. This also defined one of the goals of the websites relaunch: to emphasize the innovative and future-oriented approach of ECE through state-of-the-art website technology and usability.
Our work involved the conception, design and technological production of around 100 German and 30 international shopping centre websites and their roll-out, taking into account the specific requirements of individual centers with regard to their own corporate design and website content. We also worked on the technological development, conception, design and implementation of CRM extensions like newsletter or centre apps, and the integration of additional systems via REST-API interfaces (as e.g. digital mall, parking ticket, loyalty card).
We developed a content management system to maintain all websites of 130 shopping centres in 15 languages, with a flexible template system based on a single HTML mark up. With this system, every center is able to create an individual style for its own website and thus present itself as an innovative individual brand. The result was a responsive website with optimal usability across all screen sizes and devices, plus a log-in area which could be plugged in flexibly, in which the user was able to see and administrate content customized to their preferences.
